2012 Dividend contributions sa 38 GOCCs, nikabat sa P28-B

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 04 (PIA)--Gidawat ni Presidente Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III ang dul-an P28 bilyon nga dividend contributions gikan sa 38 ka Government-Owned and–Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) sa usa ka yanong seremonya agig pagsaulog sa GOCC Dividends Day kagahapon sa Malakanyang.

Ubos sa Republic Act 7656, gimanduan ang tanang GOCCs nga e-remit ang ilang dividend sa National Treasury.

Niadtong 2011, gilagdaan ni PNoy ang Republic Act 10149 o “The Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCC) Governance Act of 2011" nga nagtinguha og reporma sa operasyon sa mga state-owned enterprises ug pagpapas sa pag-abusar ilabi na sa sobrang pagpanghatag og bonus ug allowance sa mga opisyal niini.

Sukad sa pagpatuman sa GOCC Governance Act of 2011, naka-remit na og P29 bilyon niadtong 2010 ug P19.2 bilyon niadtong 2011 ang GOCCs.

Ang Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) ang may pinakadakung na-remit nga dividend nga nagkantidad og P6.24 bilyon alang sa 2012.

Ang uban pang GOCCs nga miyembro sa ‘billionaire’s club’ tungod sa gi-remit niining dividends mao ang Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) P1 bilyon, Philippine Ports Authority P1.03 bilyon, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) P1.4 bilyon, Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM) P1B, Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) P2.3 bilyon, ug Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) P3.16 bilyon.

PNoy, motambong sa 22nd WEF sa Myanmar

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 04 (PIA)--Gipasabot ni Presidente Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III ang kamahinungdanon sa pagtambong niini sa 22nd World Economic Forum on East Asia sa Myanmar sa Biyernes.

Matud pa ni Presidente Aquino, parte kini sa pagpangandam sa pag-host sa Pilipinas sa sunod tuig nga WEF Asian edition.

"We're hosting next year the Asian edition of the World Economic Forum. It's a tradition that the host country invites the participants prior to the conduct of the forum," matud pa ni PNoy.

Sa maong regional forum, hisgotan ang gitawag nga inclusive transformation, regional integration ug solusyon sa gi-atubang nga ekonomikanhong problema sa kalibotan.

May higayon usab si PNoy nga makahinabi si Myanmar President U Thein Sein ug Nobel Peace Prize winner ug democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi sa sidelines sa maong forum.

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 04 (PIA)--Gideklarar ni Presidente Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III ang buwan sa Disyembre matag tuig isip "Anti-Corruption Month" sa tibuok nasud sa tinguha nga makamugna og awareness sa mga Pilipino sa bug-at nga epekto sa korupsyon.

Gilagdaan ni PNoy niadtong Mayo 27 ang Republic Act No. 10589 o "An Act Declaring December of every year as 'Anti-Corruption Month' in the entire country."

Ang bag-ong balaod tawagon usab nga "Anti-Corruption Month Act."

Gihiusang Senate Bill No. 3376 ug House Bill No. 3005 kini nga gipasar sa Senado ug House of Representatives niadtong Pebrero 4, 2013 ug Pebrero 5, 2013.

Gimanduan ni PNoy ang tanang heads of government agencies and instrumentalities, apil na ang mga government-owned and controlled corporations, ang local government units ug mga empleyado sa pribadong sektor sa pagpahigayon ug mga kalihokan mga magmugna og awareness sa katawhan sa bug-at nga epekto sa korupsyon.

"The awareness campaign must not only contain information on what constitutes an act of corruption, but also what citizens must do when faced with such corruption," matud pa.
